I've found Hi-Note to be one of the most useful Palm software. The only thing I disliked (that is, besides $20 price tag) was inability to import/export its notes into something I can use at home and office, using Unix. Hence my pilote-hinote. It unpacks Hi-Note database into text (XML) file, placing images into separate (PBM) files, and packs it from XML and images again into PDB. (Archive contains sources and Linux/i386/glibc-2.1 binary. Requires netpbm and expat)

Having XML output, one can do anything with it. For example, using an included into archive converter I can produce HTML looking like this sample.
